The club operates a 7.5 metre rigid inflatable with a 230 hp MerCruiser inboard diesel engine. The engine has great economy and together with a large fuel capacity this provides extended range and duration. The boat is named after our sponsor HUMMINBIRD and is equipped with a Humminbird side-scan GPS plotters. We have a huge GPS database of dive marks collected over many years.
HUMMINBIRD provides a combination of seaworthiness, speed, reliability and economy which is unmatched by any other club-owned boat in the area. The boat is fully equipped with safety equipment and diver O2. From the start of the 2024 season, our RIB is now based at Cobbs Quay Marina dry stack and is launched on demand with fast access out of Poole harbour to the best dive sites in East Dorset.
